Central Roofing Company launches “CRC School” to inform and empower commercial roofing clients

If you know more about your commercial roof, your conversations with your project manager or service technician will be more valuable to you. As your partner in commercial roofing, we want you to have the language and foundation to have informed discussions about the condition and maintenance of your property. Therefore, Central Roofing Company, the premier commercial roofing company in Minnesota, has developed “CRC School,” an educational series for their clients designed for the company’s social media outlets.
The first course in a three-section educational series at CRC School launched today and is set to conclude early in 2025. “Our objectives throughout this series are to teach the components of most commercial low-slope roofs (CRC 101); how different roofing systems are constructed (CRC 102); and the proper care and maintenance of your roofing system (CRC 103),” says Gerry Stock, CEO and President of Central Roofing Company. “We have clients who are very well informed about the systems and issues they are presented with in discussions about their roofs and clients who are not.  We believe free access to information about the terms, composition, and needs of a commercial roof on both sides of the conversation will result in more satisfactory professional relationships, customer experiences, and better roofs.”
CRC 101: Intro to Roof Details was published on Central Roofing Company’s Facebook and Instagram pages.  In this portion of the online “class” participants will learn the parts of a commercial roof and their functions.  Participants will also learn how the information is useful in discussions with Central Roofing Company staff as projects are planned, scheduled, and evaluated. Also in the series is CRC 102: How Roofing Systems are Constructed and, CRC 103: The Proper Care and Maintenance of Your Roofing System.
Roof Sections example on drawing of low-slope commercial roofThe first lesson on Roof Sections includes sample illustrations of a roof drawing (inset) and as a teaser, here’s why just knowing what a roof section is (or that a roof is sectioned at all) matters: if your commercial roof is sectioned, you have your first option for maintenance. Roof replacements or repairs are often budgeted effectively by prioritizing roof sections based on condition. Also, preventive maintenance can be scheduled by the roof section prioritizing highly exposed areas or areas that cover essential interior operations. Likewise, your choice of roofing system can be altered by the roof section, potentially saving money or improving the security or bringing the building up to the standard required by it’s use.  All of these conversation starters start with understanding “Roof Sections.” In all things, knowledge is everything.
